Mac: ~Lifting the phone up from her pocket she just noticed the
text that had come through earlier. Stupid phone. She really needed to get
another one. Stepping out of the elevator she made her way to the office
knowing that's where he'd most likely be. Pushing the door open she smiled seeing him
then moved to plant her ass in a chair~"Our records are showing we are slow
lately, I don't know if its because of the weather or if we aren't doing
enough. What's rolling around in that head of yours about it?"~She spent a lot of
time thinking of what they could add, take away etc~ (d
Sage : 'The weather be damned, a club brings people out regardless..a
good club that is.' Sage leant forward to slide the reports to her. 'Your
target basis. What is it? Techno brats,Goth heads? The celebrity route?
There's no direction laid out. Mr. Kabal and you have a nice set up, but it means
nothing if we can't fill it.' Lifting his gaze he picked up his cup of
coffee. Tapping the bar lead sheets'.The ratios are slightly off on the
alcohol. I suggest using the jiggers and measuring the amount of liquor
poured. No point in running through the entire inventory on five people any
given night.' -d-
Mac: ~Brows arched. ~And what exactly did you have in mind.? We
are trying to appeal to everyone right now to see what it is this place is
looking for, what its screaming for. "~Leaning up some she grabbed the
report, set it on her lap then began to look it over. ~"I agree on the jiggers. "~Gaze
left the report then slid to him~"What else do you have in mind? Have you been
to any of the other clubs around here to see what kind of volume they have?
"(d
Sage : 'Not many. There's seems to be a influx of Raves more than
anything. Europe is about five years back on trends as far as the States go.'
Leaning back in seat he pinched bridge of nose. 'Short of attracting a bunch
of freebasing, pierced and tattooed junkies, I'd just as well skip that
group.' Studying Mackenzie he fell silent. 'That guy Tristen needs to be
watched. He has the potential to hurt someone. Make sure he's straight on the
floor. I'll be issuing random drug tests on all of them.' Sage regarded his employer
as he let her think it over.-d-
Mac: "What about Sweet Surrender? They have brought in a good
crowd a few times. Are they still in Moscow or did we send them back?"~Unlike
Mac to not know such things, but then again her mind had been elsewhere of
late. Shifting in her seat some as legs crossed over one another. Nodding.~" I
agree he has a way. BUT he listens so just talk to him with whatever issues
you have. As far as the drug test, so be it. I doubt any of them are doing
drugs but then again I couldn't say one way or the other. I had a investor come in
the other day asking if we'd be interested in having dancers here." (d
Sage : 'Far as I knew, they flew out Sunday I believe. We can use
them again. Though short of relocating them here, it would be a temporary fix
and a costly one at that.' Airfare, hotels. Not a good idea in his mind.
Their expenses would mount far beyond their profits. Lift of brow as he sipped on
his coffee. 'Addicts are like serial killers, Ms.Ray. We look like everyone
else.' Ah, the age old question of dancers. Sage set the mug down. 'Here's the deal, Ms.Ray. Dancers..or strippers leads to
prostitution. At one point or another, one of our dancers will have the
brilliant idea to throw a little more in a lap dance to turn a profit.' Sage
fell silent. 'I'm not against it, nor am I going to judge what a man or
woman does to earn a buck.' Leveling his gaze on Mackenzie he continued. 'However, you brought me in to ensure Karma goes over
smoothly. If you and Mr. Kabal decide on dancers, I will make sure nothing is
done without Karma's take being a substantial one.' -d-
Mac: ~He was right about that. Everything cost money and at the
moment they didn't have any to spare. WE look like everyone else...got her
attention though she left it alone. Was something in her chair? Looking down
she shifted to the side she noticed a small cut in the seat of the chair. How in
the hell? These were new seats. Brows arched as she looked back at him.~"Sage
stop calling me Ms. Ray, when you say that I think my mother is somewhere
behind me. Now, I agree with you about the dancers. I'll need to talk to Tejar
about it though. "~Fingers reached up brushing hair from her face. Sigh~"
Okay, so we will change to the jiggers, you talk to the staff..maybe I'll cut
hours on some. I'm not going to let this place go under. It's not going to
happen. Even if I have to sell Karma calendars of the staff here I will
resort to that." (d
Sage : 'Considering we're down an attraction with the loss of Sweet
Surrender. Dancers would be an option. That or Karaoke which I'd rather not
do.' Sage fell silent. A gentle nod. How to put it. Addressing her by her
first name implied a familiarity they did not have, nor was he at the time inclined
to pursue. He'd try to at least remember to call her Mackenzie in private. On
the floor, she was out of luck. Ms. Ray it would be. Eyeing her he
nodded'.As the old adage goes. 'sex sells' Two females one male tender. Less is
more, but tasteful. The first nipple I see flop on the damn bar, gets a write
up, second..docked hours, third...termination. Fair enough..Ms...Mackenzie?'
He offered a soft smile hoping he didn't come off as a total hard ass to his
employer. The staff he could careless. They wanted the job, deal with it.-d-
Mac: ~Well, she got half of what she wanted. Grinning her head
canted to the side~"Do you ever smile Sage?"~she just had to break the ice
at least between them. Yes, it was a large subject change and she knew he was
right but she just really wanted a answer from the man~ (d
Sage : 'Rarely. I'm told I have permanent stick up my ass when it
comes to work.' Another soft smile. 'Otherwise, I do with family and
friends.' See sense of humor. He did possess one.-d-
Mac: ~His sense of humor brought a smile to her lips and a shake
of her head~"As long as you smile and laugh at some point is fine by me. I'd
rather not have you blow up for holding so much in"~Looking back through the
folder she took a deep breath~"Okay handle the staff, move them around on
nights and stuff, I will talk to Tejar about the whole dancer thing. But I
really think your right about what some may come to bring. It could end up
costing us and I'm not sure what kind of crowd we would attract if we did have them" (d
Sage : 'If it helps, I was fired from my first three jobs as a
bartender. Couldn't smile enough for it.' Lifting his gaze to her he nodded.
'I don't blow up. Not without good reason. As a manager, the extent of such
would be the issue of a plethra of pink slips.' Sage lowered his gaze to the reports
again. 'Regardless, we do need to come up with something.' -d-
Mac: "Well I'm not dancing, I assume your not going to be."~Cheese
grin. Yes, she was being playful and at the moment she needed it. It had been
a shit two weeks and the one male she'd decided to let her guard down for was
no where to be found and hadn't been. That was personal of course and she
kept it that way..the smile never fading. Even though it may be fake at
times~"I will look into it though" (d
Sage : Sage offered another soft smile as he shook his head. A
chuckle at the memories the statement brought rushing back'.No, I can't say
that'd be appropriate, Ms...Mackenzie.' Work in progress there.-d-
