Mac: ~Mac stepped through the portal with her cell in hand . She
had tricked her manager into making a trip with her little did he know what it
was. So up to the penthouse of Karma they went and then popped out at the
Lair. One arm linked into his. She didn't say a word but flipped open her phone to
read the text. Brows arched as her head canted to the side. She remained
silent, all emotion void from her face. Only a silent whisper escaped her lips
as anger filled within her~ "nooo..." ~Stepping around the frame of the door she
made her way do the bar long pulled away from Sage. Mac grabbed a plate
tossing it against the wall. The new tender ducked and ran to the back.
Closing her eyes she just stood in silence. Every part of her being screamed inside.
She hated this world shed known to call home. ~ (d
Toni: -=It was amazing just how quickly Toni could flip her emotions
when forced to. She had heard Inanna and yet even with the bottling nothing
could keep the pain she felt in her chest. God that vampire hadn't ached in
such a way in the longest of times. She had returned to the Dragons Lair and took
on two mortals to the VIP room, the door was locked.. and the vampire took
out her rage on two that she didn't even know.. just as easily as the
servants come and go in the House itself. Macs appearance hadn't been noted yet, instead
she pulled out the small firearm she carried and pointed it to the male
victim, she didn't aim for the head she lowered and hit his thigh. A loud
pop.. and then the scream of both male and female she held trapped. Hmm.. that was
as less satisfying as she thought it would be.. she placed the weapon back
against the small of her back and leaned down to take hold of her dagger,
quick blur and she was in front of the male.. it was as if the screams of the
woman were feeding into the vampires need to slowly torture.. well she
screamed the loudest so Toni plunged the dagger into the mans heart and
giving him such a painless.. sorta.. death.. Turn towards the woman as she walked slowly
towards her.. =-
Sage : Sage had been pulled through some magic gaping hole. Strike
one. Something had set off his employer. Strike two. Keeping a hold on
himself, the man moved to reach for Mackenzie's phone. Skimming over the
text, he closed the phone. 'My condolences, Ms. Ray.' His attention was then drawn to the
screaming. Sage directed his attention on Mackenzie. 'I do not feel this is a
suitable place for you to be right now, Ms. Ray.' Sage cupped her arm in an
effort to find the closest exit.-d-
Mac: ~SCREAMS came flooding into her ears awaking her from the
emotionless daze she caught herself in. Eyes darted toward the area she heard
it from. Brows rose then tilted at the door. One that was usually open but
now was closed. With her phone took from her she looked to Sage then jerked her
arm from him. Leaning down the dagger was drawn from her boot as she made
her way toward the door. She didn't have the time to explain to him what was
going on at the moment and only said the following before she kicked open the
door~"If its human and runs out let it go, if its not grab it."~ KICK, KICK,
KICK, and the door was slammed open. Mac stood still seeing what lay before
her..eyes widened~" TONI.....STOP NOW!"
Toni: -=The vampire was getting closer to the target that was
screaming, she planned to string it up and cut her layer by layer skinning
her like a dead cat.. but more interesting since it was alive. The thud on
the door didn't concern her for the moment and then it swung open and the woman
beeline for the door. She heard the scream of Mac for her to stop. She let
those glacier blues watch the woman run out, fingers holding against the hilt
of her dagger.. when she was hunting she couldn't feel a thing.. not a damn thing of
pain.. only the pleasure that came from the tortured scream of the mortal
woman. She looked towards Mac.. the man dead on the floor.. blood pooling
around the body from both wounds.=-
Sage : That had to be the stupidest thing he'd heard come from her
mouth. What the hell was he into now? Stream of explicates as he followed
after Mackenzie. Before he reached the door, he was being shoved passed by a
screaming woman. Was that human or not? Either way, it would not hold for
business. Sage allowed the woman to leave screaming her head off as he turned
to take in the scene in the room the she'd fled from. Who were these people?
'Ms. Ray, leave the room, I'm calling the police.' Sage stepped back withdrawing
his phone.-d-
Mac: ~Mac didn't even look at the woman who ran past her but stared
only at Toni. She knew they woman was hurting and that was nothing she could
take away. Cant of head the dagger was slowly moved to her side as she just
watched her.~"Toni, Stop love...I know your hurting. We can fix this. You
know I can"~ she took two steps back still focused on Toni but reached around
grabbing a hold of his arm and glanced shortly to him~"I've never given you
any reason to mistrust me. Don't do it now. Put the phone away."~ She looked
at him with a need for him to do so..then dark eyes moved back to Toni as she
let go of Sages arm and stepped inside of the room toward her. Macs heart
broke for her friend. Her hand came out to take a hold of the dagger from
her~"Toni, we can get him back. You know that and you doing this isn't making
things any better"~She didn't actually know if they could. The only thing she
was trying to do was what Mac was best at and that was fixing things one thing
at a time~ "Give me the dagger, please" (d
Sage : Against his better judgement, the call was disconnected at her
request. Listening to Mackenzie questions rose. Get who back? The fact that
Mackenzie had so easily pulled a weapon from her own person did not escape
him. Why was the woman armed? Why were they afraid of the police? Did Mackenzie
realize this was aiding and embedding, in attempted murder and murder? More
questions. No answers. The more time wasted on an obviously crazed woman was
not improving matters nor Mackenzie's safety.-d-
Toni: Stop? If I do.. I remember it all.. The Snake says to turn hurt
to rage.. I am a guardian.. and look at where my husband is.. I couldn't even
be by his side when he life was ripped away.. Did you know that both the
Second and Third Doors of Sin are dead... -=She swallowed hard as she moved her
hand to her back and taking hold of her gun, popping out the clip she tossed
it to the side so that Mac would trust she was no longer armed. Breathing?
She didn't need to and the tears of blood welled only to escape and slide down
her cheeks. She whispered.=- I didn't think I could love a man so much Mac..
-=Her left hand lifting to press against her chest, she was clothed in her
normal Egyptian attire. A long white skirt with slits up both sides to her
hips, wrapped about in a golden chain belt.. and a top that was more like a
bikini top then anything else.. blood splattered against the fabric and along
parts of her body..Then she looked up towards Mac.=- There is .. -=She thought
about how to word it.. and then she finally noticed the male, shifting her
gaze to him. Mac could see the burn of silver against her neck.. could she
see the new adornments as well? Nipple rings.. pressing against fabric of her top..
along with the branded /tattooed panther cub against her lower left abdomen..
and then finally the titanium wedding band. Train of thought on the human.=-
Who is he? Do I need to kill him?
Mac: ~She had nothing to say or add. Her heart sank for her and
within seconds she was in front of her with arms wrapped around Toni's neck
holding her to her frame. Tight. Its all she knew to do. She didn't understand about the different doors of sin dead. Who was the other person dead? Hearing her she
slowly whispered in her ear~"No, he is a friend. He means you no harm love. "~slowly
letting her go she glanced down to her own shirt that held blood on it.~"Toni
we need to leave right now before the cops come. You know how that goes.
Now.."~she paused as both hands wrapped around her face~"you need to listen to me
and understand that I am only doing this to help you. We are going. "~
grabbing a hold of her she pulled her out of the room past Sage but yelled
behind her~"Come on Sage, leave that alone. I will explain later"~ " Pulling Toni with
her she closed her eyes and moved toward the portal that opened leading them
to the penthouse at karma once they were through she moved Toni over to a
couch making her sit down and then her mind went to work. Dead humans at the Lair,
not good. Once Sage stepped through she looked at him~"Stay here with her,
give her a drink, talk to her, do something. Ill be back' (d
Sage : Sage knew hell when he saw it. The blood tears
evidence enough .Vampire. So this was the secret behind the gaping magical
hole. From the frying into the fire, he had fallen. As Mackenzie confirmed
his presence however false it sounded in his mind. The vampire by nature alone had every
right to be concerned with his presence. Listening to Mackenzie, he turned on
heel, ensuring he touched nothing, nor were there traces he and Mackenzie had
ever been there. Stepping through the gaping hole again he was once
again in Karma. Mackenzie was giving him instruction again. Serve what to the
vampire. Without word, he found the bar, and filled a glass with ice, then
water. In silence he offered it to the vampire. -d-
Toni: -=She was soon moved towards the couch after being ripped
through the portal.. Slowly she let go of Mac and looked down towards the
couch and then towards the human male. If he thought she was afraid of him he
was sorely mistaken. She was over thirteen hundred in age.. and an assassin. They
hadn't even seen what she was going to do. Looking to Mac.=- If you want to
help you can bring the human woman back so I can peel her flesh little by
little. -=The art of torture is one of the things both her and her husband enjoyed,
she took a step forward peering to the couch and then to her bloody clothing.
Like she would ruin the couch? Hand moving up she pulled at the string
holding her top and then hands moving down to unclip the golden chain along her
hips. Beneath was absolute perfection.. it's how her husband described her..
Tejar fully upon her mind.. she moved to sit down.. legs curling beneath her
she looked up towards the male as he offered her the ice water. She nearly
choked.. Tejar.. water elements.. EVERYTHING was a sore reminder at this
point.=-
Mac: ~Glancing to Sage then Toni~"Play nice, I don't have time for
this."` With that Mac was through the portal trying everything in her human
soul to maintain. Though the doors she went and stared at the body on the floor. Her heart screamed with thoughts of Tejar gone, for
Toni and the only thing she wanted to do was get lost. Going to work she
moved into the room and wrapped the body up with whatever she could find.
Damn.. the only human she pretty much knew was around and she ALWAYS found herself in the worst
of places. Yes, it was keeping her mind off the one man she adored , shed
never touched , but loved none the less in so many ways who was now taken
from them all. Mac held a tear back and started to drag the body toward the back.~ (d
Sage : Left again with the vampire, Sage moved the offered glass to
the table before her. His eyes never traveled beneath her head. What was
there to say to her? 'You are Mrs, Kabal, Mr. Kabal's wife I take it. My
condolences to your loss at this time.' Even as he spoke the words they sounded flimsy
in ears. Why was that the common thing to say in society. From what he had
gathered, Mr. Kabal had been taken not by illness or fatal accident, but by
wrong doing. Any man alive would demand reckoning. Why was that not encouraged
instead of paltry statements that did no one any real good.-d-
Toni: -=The man speaking wasn't helping.. his condolences on a man he
never met? She didn't even correct him when he spoke the wrong last night..
how could he have known. Her jaw clenched for a moment as she opened eyes
only to look up towards him=- The Underworld will not hold him long.. if it is
the last thing I do I will have my husband back at my side. Not even the Gods
will stop me. -=It was bold words from the vampire but damned if anyone would
keep them separated for long. SHOULD of gone on that honeymoon!=-
Mac: ~Mac drug the body to the very back leaving a trail of blood.
GEEZ...tired and emotionally drained she slumped on the ground and just stared
at the dead man. Shake of her head. This sucked. ~ (d
Sage : Stay out of it. The caution and warnings were all but blaring
in his mind. Sitting in a chair across from the couch, Sage studied her. A
nod was offered. There was little to be said on that. Where was Mackenzie? With Mr. Kabal now deceased, the controlling interest of Karma
was now Mackenzie's. From his understanding, the financial backing to Karma
stemmed from Mr. Kabal. Did Mackenzie have the means to hold Karma afloat? As
it was, the club was barely staying afloat. -d-
Mac: ~The man was finally drug to the back and hidden until she
could find someone to take care of it. Seriously, she was gonna have someone's
ass. Did she even have time to mourn Tejar? Nope. As always the woman stained
in blood made her way back through the lair and headed toward the portal..It
was time for her to get lost and she was close to doing it. Stepping through
the portal she was back at the penthouse above karma. Glance given to both of
them before she went straight to the bar pouring herself a shot~" Toni go to
my room take a shower and change into my clothes, Sage go where ever it is
you live and grab some clothes or stay behind. I'm taking her with me to
..wherever I see to get lost"~ tossing the shot back she slammed the glass down~ (d
Toni: -=Looking towards him she was about to speak when Mac showed up
again. Lifting herself up to her feet she glanced toward the man.=- My
apologizes for my attire.. -=Lack of but at least she was nice about
apologizing. She then looked towards Mac=- I cannot go anywhere with you Mackenzie.. you are
my best friend and I love you.. as far as I know there is an assassin on my
tail. -=Lifting her hand up she brushed fingers against the silver burn
against her throat. :Toni wouldn't dare put that woman in danger. Shake of her
head.=- I will shower and change but then I am hunting. The Snake wants my
mind intact.. and if I am running from the demons then I will not bring honor
to my husband. -=As long as things bleed she would be happier.=-
Kejar: -Kejar made bar fall. Then the man spied mac's ass
sliding through the other portal...One he hoped in with no though for the
tank top flip flops and shorts he was in. He was in the Karma's pent house
that fast stumbling over a coffee table. He was pale, drawn, jaw set on the verge of
breaking and he blurted "What the fuck happened?" He'd gotten flashes when
his cuffs came back, and so urgent was his departure that he didn't give Kisa
her's or any clue where he was going. His phone was wrapped in his
fingers, melted and dripping between white knuckled fingers.-
Sage : Sage sat back in the chair his gaze locked on Mackenzie. Did
women ever think in times such as this. 'Ms. Ray, it would seem more
productive were I to remain where I am here in Russia. Given the most recent
events at Mr. Kabal's..' Silence. Rising to feet he stepped away from the lumbering man
appearing from another magical gapping hole. Were all of them under this
vampire's power? Turning his head, Sage sought to remain in some sort of
control with all this he returned his attention to Mackenzie as he moved further
from the vampire and the new from appearances flustered man. 'Perhaps this is
best to a more private time.' -d-
Toni: -=Oh yeah.. she had been about to speak again to Mac when the
elder Kabal was spotted stumbling over the coffee table. He was alive!?!
SEIROUSLY? She lost it.. she ran to him as she would nearly topple the man over.. NEARLY, her hands balled into
fists and his chest was her target=- WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU STILL ALIVE!?!
-=Woo and off of the edge she went as she started to sob=- Why the fuck
weren't you there Kejar! -=Sobs, loud.. loud sobs and blood .. yummy tears of blood=-
He... -=Sniffle=- needed you.. both of them.. Tejar.. and Kenya.. are gone..
-=Knees getting weak and the hard pounding of chest dulled.=-
Kejar: -Kejar didn't move. The vampire beat on him. Hit him.
it hurt, but he stood there, and as her pounding on his chest ebbed he
slipped his arms around her and simply held her. He let her stain up his
tank top. At that point it didn't matter. Amber eyes slid to Sage and he was given
a razor blade stare, a quick appraisal. Then he took a breath. "I was on my
honeymoon." Simple. Then he looked at Toni, "What happened? "-
Mac: ~Mac stood still behind the bar just watching. Void of all
emotion she poured herself a glass of vodka and then Sage one. Sliding the
glass to him, hers was brought to her lips where she took a long pull from
it. Just watching what was taken place in front of her. Mac spotted the look Kejar
gave to Sage but remained silent at the moment. The drink was drained just as
fast as it was poured, then another was filled to the rim of it~ (d
Toni: -=When he wrapped his arms about her she started those soft
sobs.. she had to hold it together right? Supposed to be the strong violent
one? How did one half of a team ever make it? =- We were supposed to be.. on
ours.. we should of been.. maybe if I .. I didn't insist on being in bed with him it
wouldn't of happen. -=Guilt next step coming? Rage.. coming up tho.=- I don't
know.. I did not gather on Kenya.. I just know that a fallen angel -=She
seemed to question it herself=- Took him.. from hushed whispers in battle
was a fiery bird from myth and the dragon.. -=Poor Sage.. learning things
went bump in the night!=- The Snake sealed him in the chamber.. -=Tilting her
head back she looked to him. Burn of silver against her throat.=- We need to
get him back Kejar.. -=Crimson coated blues looking to those ambers. What she
felt was written on her expression.=-
Sage : Sage accepted the drink as he suffered through the glare of
whoever the man was. Apparently, the vampire felt he should be dead. Frankly,
that spoke in spades of his importance. Sage returned his focus to Mackenzie.
Drink was set down as he placed a hand over Mackenzie's. 'Enough. I don't
have a clue what you're mixed up in, Ms. Ray, or what you are no doubt
dragging me into with you. I do know, being sober will help things greatly.'
Taking the newly poured drink for he set it aside.-
Kejar: - He listened to her. His ire was INSTANT. "Raven?
Raven was involved?" He turned around and looked at Mac. Void as she was
he'd seen it before. "You alright? Do you know anything about what happened
to Tej? " He dreaded going to the House. He didn't want to get snatched into
something. But then, his brother's memory begged honoring. It was. A
dilemma. Apparently Tejar and Kenya both didn't need him too badly. Kenya
cold have found him anywhere.
Mac: ~Nodding to Sage, he was right. Thanks.. he wanted to be the
sober one, um her not so much. Gaze left him and landed to Kejar and
Toni~"NO, I don't have any clue. SEE the thing is...I'm only human and cant do
many things when it comes to demons floating around the house and such. SOO.. nope
don't know. And if you are having issues about going to the house I will go
there and take care of what I can. "~ She tossed the drink back then slammed
it down on the counter~"This is fucked up anyway you look at it. Why in the
hell are demons floating around the house? "~Shake of her head she picked up
the empty glass tossing it hard into the bar mirror then walked to the back
calmly~ "I've got shit to pack then I will head to the house to see what I can
do. THEN I'm gonna get lost for awhile" (d
Toni: -=The vampire was losing her mind, the moment her husband was
killed she was by his side, well maybe not the exact moment but she was
there. Kejar could feel the body of the vampire going limp and the fact that
her skin ACTUALLY looked ivory. No sleep.. nor feeding.. she was out.. All one
hundred and fifteen pounds .. soakin wet mind you.. was leaning on him.. or
falling one or the other.=-
Kejar: -"No Mac. I'll go. I need to go anyway. You just go.
I'll send word when this whole thing's over with." His eyes scanned the
floor. Why'd he come back. Seriously... He scooped the vampire up and
laid her on the couch. Then he went after Mac. He turned her around, "You keep
out of this. I mean it. you show up I will throw you back through the
portal you got out of so fast your head'll spin." Then he turned, and
looked at Sage. "You're staying here? What are you? boyfriend employee?" He waited
for explanation. It was rude, it was curt. Sorry. -
Sage : Demons. Sage remained silent. Best means to decipher the
nonsense they seemed to be spattering at each other. Removed from their direct persons, Sage kept silent vigil, as
the vampire collapsed. When the conversation did turn to his revelence Sage
responded in kind. 'I am the manger of Karma under the employ of Ms. Ray and
Mr. Kabal.' Sage nodded in agreement as at least one of them made some
semblance of sense. 'I have no intention of leaving Karma, I assure you,
Mr...' Leaving that off, his attention left the man questioning him to return
to his employer. 'Ms. Ray, if it is of assistance, perhaps you should remain well away
from the matter. Your presence would be best where you can be productive.' -d-
Mac: ~Turned around she looked at Kejar as he addressed
Sage~"Kejar you know better than to tell me what to do. I will do as I
please. I care for Tejar just as much as you do, as far as what Sage is to me
that is NONE of your concern and has little to do with any of this."~ brows tilted as she
moved out of his grasp heading toward her bedroom to do as she said. Her mind
was going a million miles a minute. Once in her room she tried to calm down.
Deep breaths took as she reached under the bed grabbing a hold of her luggage.
Talking to herself like some insane person she moved to the dresser grabbing
some clothes tossing them in. Why was she even doing that? Hell she didn't
know. Falling on the bed she closed her eyes covering her hands with them as tears
streamed down her face~ (d
Kejar: - "Yeah I know you will...." He shook his head he looked
at Sage, "Kabal. I'm his brother. If you need finances or help come to me.
Here's a card." He extended it to Sage and once he'd taken it he tucked
his wallet away and headed down the hall, in time to see Mac crying. He
wandered over, peeled his shirt off because it was a bloody MESS. Then
pulled her arm, gathered the woman up and hopefully got to hold on to her
for a second or two.-
Sage : Sage accepted the card and quickly programmed the number into
his phone. The card itself, would be lost in a matter of hours or days.
Excess paper was something Sage tended to be rid whether he chose to or not.
As he was left in the front room alone, Sage made a call while he began to clean up
the broken glass and set the used glasses to the side. Whatever was at hand
was used, to clean with. Once accomplished, Sage moved to the windows and
peered outside. The hour was growing and the club would be filling with the scant
few regulars. The long winded message finally ended with the piercing beep.
'I will be detained this evening. The next injection is to be given in an
hour.' Ending the call Sage closed his eyes. From the frying pan into the fire
he had fallen.-d-
Mac: ~Pulled up arms wrapped around his waist, her forehead gently rested upon his chest and for a moment she
let herself be weak, emotional, and then as it passed and she was able to
convince herself to calm down.. her arms slipped from his waist. Reaching up
she wiped the tears from her face then stared into his eyes~"I'm sorry about your
brother. I will help you in any way I can. "`A deep breath was took before she
moved away from him to the mirror. Pulling her hair up she tried to make some
sort of ponytail with it. Gods she had a headache. Shake of her head she
looked over her shoulder at him~"Don't take on anything you cant.....please. "~ He knew
what she meant and left it at that~ (d
Kejar: -Kejar looked at her he shook his head, "No Mac. I'm not
stupid, and I can't believe Tejar was reckless. He was a lot of things but
that aint one of them. " He shed his tears. "For now though...Stay away
from there Mac..I'm begging. " He cleared his throat, "I...I don't want to
loose you too." Enough said. He ripped a portal open then vanished.-
Mac: ~She took a deep breath after he left then stepped out of the
room toward the den. Seeing Sage staring out the window she spoke up~"And
just think hours ago you though I was oh so boring"` She had to grin as she
made her way around the bar to oh yes pour herself a nice LONGGGGGGGGGGGGG drink
of whatever hit the glass first. Vodka, yep that would do it. Maybe shed get
drunk and all of this would be just a nightmare? Hell a girl could try.~"You
got the club covered right?" (d
Sage : Sage glanced over shoulder to her, seeing she was alone, he
relaxed a bit..as much as he would given his placing as such. He returned his
attention to the window and whatever it was that he'd been watching. 'To be
honest, Mackenzie. It never entered my mind you were boring. It's a bit surprising
you're mixed in the occult. Turning to look at her he studied her folding arms over chest.
'Vampires who can't hold their own shit? Demons? Mackenzie do you have any
idea what you are mixed up with' More than likely a redundant question. Did
he really come clear across the world for something like this? Mackenzie and
the staff were not what he considered friends. Mere associates. Some he
favored more than others. Yet, associates nonetheless. Her welfare mattered
only a business sense for him. Sage couldn't afford for things to move beyond that.
There was to much at stake as it was.-d-
Mac: "A occult? "~A grin as she tried to make sense of it within
her mind to explain to him much less to herself~"They are family to me. Ones
that I love deeply, some more than others. Kejar, the man who was talking to
you means no harm. He is just protective of us is all."~another sip was took
while moving from behind the bar. Leaning against it she studied him~ "I
didn't mean to drag you into anything and if you wish to quit I will pay you a
great deal of money to keep your mouth closed about what you have seen. As he
protects me, I protect them." (d
Sage : 'Are you firing me, Ms. Ray?'
Mac: "Did I say I was?" (d
Sage : Sage regarded her. 'I don't scare easily. Nor am I a rat.
Whatever you're mixed up with..your family as it is..is your deal. We all got
family and how we roll with family is just that.' The more Sage spoke the
less rigid his speech pattern became. -d-
Mac: "Well then you will work out just fine then. I'm sorry about
the lair earlier. That is another bar my family runs, as far as the vampire
you saw...well she is heart broken over the loss of her husband. A dear
friend of mine. You know him. "~she stopped talking about his death and left it alone.
Something she didn't wish to discuss. Emotional things to her were very
private and things she pretty much kept closed within her~"Thank you. "(d
Sage : 'I spoke with Mr. Kabal for the phone interview and met him
briefly once. I did not know him. I does appear he was deeply loved. That
alone is something no man can ask more of. My sympathies are with you and
your family. As for Club Karma. I will see that it runs smoothly in your absence. You
have the means to reach me at your leisure.-d-
Mac: ~Mac smiled at him nodding as she moved past him toward the
portal~"I have things to take care of but I will be in touch. Thank you Sage.
I wont be gone long."~With that said she stepped into the portal that had
appeared and was gone~
Sage : Sage turned on heel and let himself out of the penthouse. He
did have a business to run.-d-
had tricked her manager into making a trip with her little did he know what it
EVERYTHING was a sore reminder at this
point.=-
Mac: ~Glancing to Sage then Toni~"Play nice, I don't have time for
this."` With that Mac was through the portal trying everything in her human
soul to maintain.
